Our Commitment to Fellow Team Members
Wellness Programs
AstroNova recognizes our ability to achieve our objectives successfully depends on the wellbeing of our team members. We acknowledge that the key elements of workplace wellness include the physical and cultural environments as well as the policies, practices and procedures that guide our work. AstroNova will provide a healthy workplace that values and enhances the health and wellbeing of all employees by implementing our workplace wellness program.
Tobacco Free
It is the policy of AstroNova to prohibit the use of tobacco products on all company premises in order to provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all team members. This includes within the company buildings as well as the surrounding grounds. Tobacco products include smoking, “spit-tobacco” and e-cigarettes.
Maintain a Safe and Healthy Work Environment
We believe that our people are our most valued resource. Sustainable success can only be achieved through our people. It is our commitment to protect our people by providing a safe and healthy work environment. We are committed to the following health and safety guiding principles:
- Leadership accountability for creating and sustaining a culture of strong health and safety behaviors
- A belief in achieving zero accidents and zero high risk incidents and that no operation should take precedence over achieving this goal
- The right and responsibility of our people to contribute to safe work performance and comply with all safety standards
- The continuous improvement of a Safety Management System focused on predicting and preventing incidents before injuries can occur
Each AstroNova location maintains more specific safety and emergency procedures applicable to that location and the responsibilities performed at that location.
Respect and Promote Diversity
By choosing to work at AstroNova, we have all made a commitment to treat each other with respect and fairness. We are committed to keeping AstroNova a safe work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
We embrace our team members’ differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our team members unique. Discrimination or harassment on the basis of age, color, race, religion, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law is prohibited.
Our diversity initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; transfers; social and recreational programs; layoffs; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of gender and diversity equity.
